Abstract
Crime prevention encompasses various models, among which social prevention stands out as a critical long-term, non-punitive approach. This model emphasizes identifying and controlling socio-environmental criminogenic factors through cultural, educational, and social interventions. This article aims to examine and synthesize selected studies on social crime prevention, analyzing and integrating research findings related to policy-making and legislation in the field of delinquency prevention. The methodology employed in this study is Metasynthesis, a qualitative approach used to analyze and review diverse findings from relevant articles, books, and dissertations. Specifically, the metasynthesis approach systematically combines the results of qualitative research to achieve a comprehensive understanding of social prevention strategies. The results indicate that focusing on social prevention—particularly by strengthening educational, cultural, and religious institutions and enhancing public participation—can significantly reduce crime rates. Furthermore, precise planning and policy-making in economic sectors and housing play a vital role in controlling criminogenic factors. The article concludes that success in social prevention requires robust interaction between social and governmental institutions, legislative transparency, and the localization of policies. By adopting these approaches, it is possible to enhance social security and achieve a sustainable reduction in social crimes within the community.
